Inspiring TEAM BUILDING experiences
Team Building, Reinvented Through Food
Culinary team-building experiences for teams that want more than another awkward icebreaker.

At Life Plus, team building happens in the kitchen.
Your team won’t sit through a lecture, play forced games, or pretend to enjoy another trust fall. Instead, they’ll cook, communicate, problem-solve, delegate, adapt, plate, present, and enjoy a real meal together.
Our culinary team-building experiences are designed to be fun, high-energy, and genuinely memorable, but they are also built with purpose. Each format mirrors how real teams work: managing timing, sharing resources, navigating pressure, coordinating across roles, and bringing individual contributions together into one complete result.
Hosted at our Sherman Oaks Galleria culinary campus, each experience combines chef-led instruction, group collaboration, and a beautiful shared meal.
Why It Works
Cooking gives teams something real to do together.
It naturally reveals how people communicate, lead, follow, organize, support each other, make decisions, and respond when the clock is ticking.
In our kitchen, your team practices the same skills they need at work, but in a setting that feels fresh, human, and energizing.
Your team will experience:
Communication in motion
Teams must share information, ask questions, listen carefully, and keep each other updated.
Delegation and role clarity
Every dish requires people to understand what they are responsible for and how their work affects the larger outcome.
Timing and coordination
Courses need to come together at the right moment, which makes collaboration visible and practical.
Creative problem-solving
Cooking requires judgment, flexibility, and the ability to adapt when things move quickly.
Shared accomplishment
At the end, the team sits down to enjoy something they actually created together.

Best for: teams that love energy, competition, creativity, and a little pressure.
Rate: $150 per guest
Chef Facilitators: 2
Group Size: 10–24 guestsThis is our most competitive culinary team-building experience.
Teams are divided into competing groups, each supported by a chef facilitator. The menu is unknown in advance, and that is part of the fun.
Each team receives a mystery set of ingredients and works with their chef to develop a cohesive plan. Teams make strategic decisions, assign responsibilities, execute cooking techniques, plate their dishes, and present their final creations.
Each group produces components of a two-to-three-course menu. At the end, everyone comes together to enjoy a full multi-course meal by sampling the dishes created across the competition.
This format emphasizes fast decision-making, creativity, leadership, communication, presentation, and execution under pressure.
It feels like a cooking show, but with real food, real teamwork, and a real meal at the end.
The Mystery Box format is positioned as a high-energy competitive challenge with two chef facilitators for groups of 10–24 guests.
