Lasagna

Fresh pasta, ragù and béchamel, layered by hand.

About 2 hours · Ages 9+ · Up to 6 families · $250 per parent-and-kid team

The class

What you make

Every team rolls fresh pasta sheets, makes a ragù and a béchamel from a roux, and layers its own lasagna. While it bakes, teams make a salad and a dipping oil, then set their table.

Fresh pasta sheets

Rolled by hand and cut to fit your pan.

House ragù

Crushed tomatoes, ground meat and a splash of milk.

Béchamel

A classic white sauce, built from a roux.

Your own lasagna

Layered pasta, ragù, béchamel and Parmesan, baked one per team.

While it bakes

A fresh salad, and bread with a dipping oil your team mixes, such as balsamic, olive oil and herbs.

How it goes

Made together, start to finish

Every parent-and-kid team works at its own station, with an instructor guiding the room.

  1. 1

    Make the dough.

Mix, knead and rest the pasta dough.

  2. 2

    Make the sauces.

Start the ragù, then whisk a roux into béchamel.

  3. 3

    Roll and layer.

Roll sheets to fit the pan and layer your lasagna.

  4. 4

    Bake and set.

Make the salad and dipping oil, plate, and set your table.

The finale

And then you set your own table.

While your food bakes or simmers, your team styles its own table for the meal: pick a tablecloth (or none), flowers, and dishes and serving pieces from our collection.

Along the way, learn where the fork, knife and spoon go, with a small guide at every table. Break the rules if you like, as long as you do it on purpose.

One award goes to the best tablescape.
